Every year, Thinkspace puts on a group show featuring numerous newer artists they’ve had their eye on over the past year and adds in some artists from their regular rotation and titles it Picks of the Harvest. David B. Smith Gallery in Denver’s next exhibition will be Zero-zero – a new collection of work from Jason Thielke. Unlike Thielke’s recent work where he uses gel transfer and laser etching to produce his compositions, Zero-zero promises an entirely fresh body of work comprised of drawn and painted works. Part deux of the 2010 Group Exhibition at David B. Smith Gallery opens tonight in Denver. Just like the first edition, this show features a stellar lineup of artists including Josh Agle aka SHAG (interviewed), Jud Bergeron, Kris Lewis (interviewed), MARS-1, Niall McClelland, Amy Sol (interviewed), Cole Sternberg and Jason Thielke (interviewed). On our recent trip to Denver to see Josh Keyes’ “Sprout” exhibition, AM met with Jason Thielke, who’s latest solo show entitled simply “New Works” opens this Friday, July 17th at the new downtown location of the David B. Smith Gallery. David B. Smith Gallery or the gallery formerly known as Limited Addiction is showcasing three of theirÂ artists this year at Art Basel (Miami) – Josh Keyes, Jason Thielke, and Gregory Euclide.
