Coming up on September 2nd, Slow Culture in Los Angeles will be opening a group show entitled Playboys & Girls. As the name of the exhibition suggests, the gallery has teamed up with the iconic magazine and brand to present new works that embody the Playboy culture. Last week, Fecal Face Dot Gallery (FFDG) hosted the opening of Jay Howell’s solo show Enthusiastic Person(previewed). On Howell’s resume is the character designer of Bob’s Burgers and co-creator & art director of the upcoming show, Sanjay and Craig. On February 1st, Jay Howell will be presenting all new works at the Fecal Face Dot Gallery (FFDG), his third solo with the SF showspace. Entitled Enthusiastic Person, the 25 mixed media cartoon-styled works on paper will featuring renderings of the case of characters from his new animated children’s show Sanjay and Craig set to premiere sometime this year on Nickelodeon. If you didnt’ know, the talented LA-based artist is also behind the design of the main characters on Fox’s hit show, Bob’s Burgers. Discuss this show here.
