Previews: Joao Ruas – “VERSO” @ Thinkspace

On the 1st of February, the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City will be hosting the opening for VERSO, a new solo show from Joao Ruas. Openings: “Supersonic Electric Invitational 2” @ Spoke Art

Last Thursday evening, Spoke Art Gallery in San Francisco hosted the opening of the 2nd Annual Supersonic Electric Invitational to a packed house with many of the 32 artists in attendance. The show is curated by Zach Tutor, who founded and runs the Tumblr-based contemporary art blog Supersonic Electronic, by choosing some of his favorite artists who he felt are innovative, dynamic and compelling. A couple Saturdays ago, the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City hosted the opening for Wild at Heart, a benefit show where some of the proceeds went towards Born Free USA. The group exhibition featured artists and their choice of endangered species to paint or work with leading to some great pieces being created. This Saturday, November 5th, in Los Angeles, João Ruas will be presenting a solo exhibition at the Thinkspace Gallery in Culver City.
