This year’s Life Is Beautiful arts and music festival (also see 2016, 2015, and 2014) once again collaborated with JUSTKIDS / Charlotte Dutoit on bringing more public art to downtown Las Vegas. Palms Hotel Suite Designed By Damien Hirst

After unveiling an impressive 620 million “Dust to Gold” renovation last year featuring over 150 artworks placed throughout the hotel, the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas recently added a hotel suite designed by Damien Hirst. The 9,000-square-foot two-story sky villa which they call the “Empathy Suite” features pieces from the British artist embedded throughout the living space. Signature motifs like his butterflies, dots, and pharmaceuticals, range from references like graphics on the linens, carpet, and furniture, to original works like his formaldehyde shark tank and medicine cabinet pieces. As part of the $620 million “Dust to Gold” renovation at the Palms Casino Resort, an impressive collection ranging from blue-chip works to street art murals was acquired, commissioned, and deployed throughout the hotel. Andrew Schoultz Paints Winchester Skatepark (Las Vegas)

Continuing his longstanding work within skate culture, Andrew Schoultz recently completed a project in Las Vegas earlier this month at the skatepark at the Clark County Winchester Cultural Center. Working with his team, the Los Angeles-based artist painted the ramps, pyramids and other obstacles with his signature imagery including the all-seeing eye. In related news, Schoultz will return to the area on June 2nd when his show at UNLV’s Marjorie Barrick Museum opens. Streets: Shepard Fairey – “Cultivate Harmony” (Las Vegas)

A couple days ago, Shepard Fairey (featured) wrapped up his latest large scale mural in Las Vegas, created for the Life is Beautiful festival and curated by Justkids. Entitled Cultivate Harmony, the 21 story high piece now graces the facade of the Plaza Hotel in downtown. For this year’s Life Is Beautiful arts and music festival, JUSTKIDS / Charlotte Dutoit once again put together a worthy roster to add their unique talents to the outdoor vistas of downtown Las Vegas. Streets: Bezt // Etam Cru – “The Sleeping Knight” (Las Vegas)

Last week in Las Vegas, Bezt from Etam Cru painted a lovely new mural entitled The Sleeping Knight for the Life Is Beautiful Festival. Curated by JUSTKIDS, artists from all over the world came to leave their mark on Sin City including one half of the Polish street art duo. Streets: 1010 (Las Vegas)

After sharing a massive new mural in Paris from 1010 with you back in May, we now return with a smaller project he worked on in Sin City. Painted for the Life Is Beautiful festival in Downtown Las Vegas and arranged by JustKids, the new mural takes advantage of a unique three part structure in the financial district. Solving the unique architectural challenge, the German artist was able to paint his signature rainbow colored three dimensional optical illusion and leave his mark in Nevada’s biggest city for years to come.
