Releases: James Jean – “Hunting Party II” Print

Coming up next week (August 29th), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing a new time limited edition entitled Hunting Party II. The print depicts all the animals of the Chinese Zodiac, comes sized at 21-15/16″ tall × 29-1/2″ wide (image size: 18-3/4″ tall × 27-5/16″ wide), and cost $200. It will only be available for 24 hours starting at 8:00 AM PDT on Monday, August 28th and ending at 7:59 AM on Tuesday, August 29th here for those interested. Discuss James Jean here.

A couple weekends ago, Josh Keyes (interviewed) unveiled a new body of work entitled Implosion at Thinkspace Gallery for his long awaited solo show in Los Angeles. On Angust 19th, along with a showing from Brandi Milne, Corey Helford Gallery will also be presenting solos from Nicoletta Ceccoli (interviewed) & Yuka Sakuma. Entitled Hide and Seek, the new acrylic and colored pencil works on paper (pictured first) from the San Marino, Italy-based Ceccoli features her children disguising themselves or in the act of hiding. Releases: Josh Keyes – “Spray” Print

Tomorrow (August 9th) at 10AM Pacific Time, Josh Keyes (interviewed) will be releasing a new print through Thinkspace Gallery entitled Spray. The image is taken from the Portland-based artist’s current show at the Culver City gallery and will be reproduced in an edition of 75. The print will be sized at 16″ x 20″ (14 x 18 inch full sized reproduction image area), come hand signed and numbered by Keyes, and will cost $250. On August 19th, Library Street Collective will be opening a solo show from AJ Fosik (featured) entitled From Ripe to Rot. Inspired by city he was born in, the Motor City’s continued evolution, transformation, and reinvention fuels the ideas behind this new body of work featuring his intricate wood assemblages. Fosik’s practice is informed by folk art, taxidermy, and cultural rituals which can be seen in the three dimensional beasts he creates as well in the newer more contained compositional pieces.
