Preview: Scott Radke – “Burlap” @ Thinkspace Gallery

Opening alongside Jen Lobo this Saturday night at Thinkspace, is the Ohio-based Scott Radke (interviewed). Featuring over two dozen pieces from the soulful sculptor, by far the most ever in one location, Burlap is a cant-miss show for fans of his beautifully grotesque works. As indicated by the title of the exhibition, many of these new sculptural pieces feature the incorporation of the specific fabric in the work, adding a nice new texture. Both John Brophy and Melissa Forman focus their narratives on female protagonists with imagery filled with symbolism and mysticism.
