Last Thursday night, San Diego got a rare dose of great art courtesy of Mark Murphy. The long time collector, curator, publisher, and friend to artists put together another impressive group show, this time entitled “Survey Select”, held at the Wonder Bread Factory. The well attended event kicked off a great July for Los Angeles’ southern neighbor with Viva La Revolucion and SDCC 2010 still coming up. More pics after the jump…

AM enjoyed the screening of the art film “Scribble.08” and coinciding art show alongside artists James Jean (interviewed), Tim Biskup, Jeff Soto (interviewed), Bwana Spoons, Mari Inukai and the rest of the crowd held at Wonderhaus during Comic-Con 2009. Openings: Planet Illogica Launch Party – San Diego Comic-Con 2009

Ron English (studio visit) andÂ 2esae and SKI ofÂ Destroy and Rebuild rocked downtown San Diego’s Wonderhaus with their live painting session during the launch party forÂ Planet Illogica, a social networking website focused on the creative arts community. Openings: Movers and Shakers @ POV Evolving

“Movers and Shakers” (previewed) opened on Valentine’s Day in Los Angeles’ Chinatown at POV Evolving Gallery and AM dropped by to check it out.
