The Vader Project Auction Preview

When The Vader Project rolls into Los Angeles tonight, June 11th, it will be at the end of a long four year journey. This Thursday, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art will host an exclusive signing event for the art book “Further,” featuring the work of Damon Soule, David Choong Lee, MARS-1, Nome Edonna, Oliver Vernon, Robert Hardgrave and Tomokazu Matsuyama. Mario Martinez aka Mars-1, whom we last saw at his Billy Shire show last May, will be opening up a new show at the Meta Gallery in Toronto next Friday, April 2nd. It looks as though he may continuing to explore more muted works with black backgrounds like the piece we saw at Josh Liners’ Further group show a while back. Preview: “Further” Group Show @ Joshua Liner Gallery

Tomorrow night, the Joshua Liner Gallery will host “Further,” a group exhibition featuring works by artists Damon Soule, David Choong Lee, MARS-1, Nome Edonna, Oliver Vernon, Robert Hardgrave and Tomokazu Matsuyama. The exhibition coincides with the release of a new book of the same name that brings together the seven artists and their varied takes on contemporary abstraction, mysticism, futurism, and surrealism.
