One of the most notable stops in our hectic journey through London was Lazarides’ “Hell’s Half Acre” group exhibition. Last night, the Carmichael GalleryÂ in Hollywood pulled no punches with their all-star show, “Get Rich Quick!,” showcasing the strongest talents in the street and urban art genre. Some scorching hot pieces lined the gallery’s walls for the exhibition, including: a rare BanksyÂ canvas, a KAWS ad disruption, boxes and screen-printed collages fromÂ Faile, to originals by Barry McGeeÂ and Micallef and much more. Another great group show is underway at Lazarides (Newcastle Location). This time, the exhibition that opened last weekend is entitled “Outsiders Selection” and features original paintings, prints and sculpture from Faile, Antony Micallef, Blu, Ian Francis, David Choe, JR, Conor Harrington, Damien Hirst, Paul Insect, Invader, Polly Morgan, Kelsey Brookes, Vhils, Jonathan Yeo, Herbert Baglione, Zevs, and more.Â Although the art was mainly older work, there were many standout pieces including this stunning “Flying Copper” (seen above) by Banksy suspended in glass/plexi.Â Many more pics […]

Here are some photos of the group show at Lazarides (Newcastle) that has been running concurrently with the Candice Tripp show.Â Although, some of the work is old, there still were some interesting pieces including this older style Faile box.Â Other artists included Blu, Bast, Lucy Mclauchlan, Mode2, Antonio Diaz, JR, David Choe, Jonathan Yeo, Stanley Donwood, Kelsey Brookes, Micallef, Paul Insect, Conor Harrington, and 3D (Robert Del Naja) Rest of the photos after the jump.
