Preview: Basel Week Miami ’10: Sanrio 50th Anniversary Show

Fresh off the clamoring success of Sanrio’s 50th Anniversary bash in Southern California, Small Gift Los Angeles (covered), the art exhibition and pop-up store tag team celebration will be traveling down to South Beach next week to coincide with Art Basel Miami Beach. South Yorkshire artist Craww picks up his tools and treks to Newcastle for his debut solo show “Droodlings” at Electrick Sheep Gallery on October 14th. Preview: Damien Hirst – “The Souls” @ Paul Stolper Gallery

It’s become more than apparent now that Damien Hirst has  a thing for the fragile beauty of butterflies.  They will completely take over his next show “The Souls”, which will feature 120 vibrant foilblock butterfly prints.  The exhibition in total is made up of 4 butterflies, in 80 different colourways, each one in an edition of 15 and rumored to cost £3,000 each.  Flutter over to Paul Stolper Gallery starting Oct 7 to check them out.
