Releases: Paul Insect – “The Ultimate Journey” (Gold) Print

Tomorrow (May 16th) at 6:oo PM (Amsterdam Time), Paul Insect will be releasing new limited edition, The Ultimate Journey – Gold, through Avant Arte. Mirroring some of his recently work, the meticulously produced 10 color screen print embellished with glitter and small diamond dust will have an edition of 70, measure 97 x 71 cm (image size 92 x 67.4 cm), and cost € 1.200,00. Tomorrow (April 13th) starting at 11AM Pacific Time, Aron Wiesenfeld will be releasing two time limited editions through his website that will only be available for only 7 days. The first exquisite print (seen above) entitled Bunker (24 x 32 inches) features rich detailed foliage and will cost $200. Previews: Jonas Wood – “Prints” @ Gagosian (New York)

Opening tonight at the 976 Madison Avenue location of Gagosian Gallery in New York will be the first survey of prints from Jonas Wood. Drawing from over fifty limited edition prints produced between 2004 and 2018, the exhibition will have the Los Angeles-based artist’s oeuvre well represented from ceramics that are often based on the work of his wife, sculptor Shio Kusaka, to the sports inspired pieces, to the domestic landscapes of plants, everyday objects, and vases. It looks like Nychos just dropped a new print entitled Translucent Hare, which is appropriate at this time seeing as Easter is coming up. The 24 x 24 inch giclee print features one of the anatomic dissections the Austrian streets artist is known for. Starting on March 17th (12am midnight PST), two new limited editions will be available from Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) time limited to 48 hours. Print Them All recently teamed up with legendary artist Kenny Scharf (interviewed) for a fresh new limited edition release. As a part of his recent Sloppy Styles series, Sloppy Melt is a new take on his signature cartoon-inspired imagery. The California-born artist was a contemporary of such names as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Andy Warhol or Keith Haring, working alongside them in the 80s in NYC. His graffiti-based work has been called pop abstract surrealism, and is constructed of alien-like cartoonish characters that form everything from single portraits to complex multidisciplinary installations. Graphic designer and artist Naturel recently released a new print entitled Death’s Playground, a continuation of his popular death series. The image features skeletons playing basketball, all rendered in the Chamorro artist’s signature aesthetic that is modern take on cubism. Sized at 27 1/2″ x 19 3/4″, it’s limited to an edition of 23 and can be purchased here for $180.

The Shape of Water was created for the award winning film of the same name with James working directly with Guillermo del Toro to create an image for the official one sheet.
