Releases: Audrey Kawasaki – “Migawari” Print

For those Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) fans out there, if you haven’t heard already, scheduled for later today is a rare print release from the LA-based artist. At 1:00 PM Pacific Time, “Migawari” will be available on her webstore (pre-registration required) with a framed and unframed option. Aptly referred to as a “deal with the devil”, our friends at Baby Tattoo have tipped us off to a new miniprint from Michael Hussar. Priced only at $10, this 4″ x 6″ print entitled “White Devil”, is a promotional print for his forthcoming book White. Also look for Hussar in the fast approaching Baby Tattooville this year. Teaser: Aaron Horkey – “Midwestern Heart” @ Remick Gallery

Aaron Horkey, well known for his work on rock posters, intricate silkscreens, and Burlesque Design, is set to open a retrospective at the Remick Gallery in Minnesota on September 12th. The show in his hometown, which will include prints and originals from 2003-2010, is rumored to be the last from the popular Midwest artist and has many of his fans traveling long distances to attend the opening. One of the most skilled artists out there in capturing atmosphere and emotion in their work, Daniel Danger (interviewed), opened his latest solo show last week at Gallery 1988. Releases: Daniel Danger – “Where Ashes Take the Form of Houses” Print

It’s taken six months, but Daniel Danger’s (interviewed) new two color intaglio print is ready from Harbor Coat Press. The beautiful image, entitled “Where Ashes Take the Form of Houses”, is an edition of 50 and generously sized at 28″ x 48″. It’s available now at their shop for $300.
