Upcoming: Scott Listfield – “LAX” @ Gallery 1988 East

After a showing in London (covered), Scott Listfield’s next exhibition will open in Los Angeles on July 15th entitled LAX. The solo at Gallery 1988 East (7021 Melrose Ave) will feature four groups of paintings – The Lost Treasures of Bowie, Close Ups, LA Nights, and The Ruins. Expect more adventures with his signature astronaut while visiting iconic scenes in the the City of Angels. Discuss Scott Listfield here.

Upcoming: Scott Listfield – “An American Astronaut In London” @ StolenSpace

Coming up on May 5th, An American Astronaut In London will open at StolenSpace, a new exhibition from Scott Listfield. For his first solo in London, the American artist has created a fresh collection of paintings featuring his signature astronaut in an alternate version of the British capital, “left seemingly abandoned in the mid 90’s, covered in graffiti, and sprinkled with band posters from prominent British bands of 20 years ago.” Fans should stop by before the end of the month as the showing closes on May 29th. Tomorrow (February 7th) will mark the third time Thinkspace has curated a show in association with POW! WOW! Hawaii at the Honolulu Museum of Art School (see 2015 & 2014). The event will continue their push to further the art of what they call the “New Contemporary Movement” and will include an installation from Aaron Li-Hill. “Art Awakens” Star Wars Charity Auction

Last week, we shared with you the Art Awakens charity show put on in partnership with Disney, LucasFilm, Bad Robot over the weekend by Gallery1988 (West) featuring artwork inspired by the Star Wars universe.
