Recap: Ludo x Rero Installation (Bogota)

French artists and studio mates, Ludo and Rero, were recently visiting Colombia during the ArtBo Artfair week in Bogota. They were invited to create a collaborative installation at a 500 year old historical site where they incorporated their work into a colonial patio. Inspired by Mexican author of Toltec spiritualist and neoshamanistic texts, Don Miguel Ruiz, and the famous the Toltec guides to personal freedom known as The Four Agreements, the work was separated into four independent sections. Following the architecture of the location, each wall represents a reflection or reinterpretation of the aforementioned beliefs […]

Showing: Finok – “Sorrir e Chorar” @ Galleria Patricia Armocida

Galleria Patricia Armocida is currently showing the Italian debut show of young Brazilian artist Raphael Sagarra aka Finok. Sorrir e Chorar looks like his most accomplished exhibition to date, including various styles of works that show his seemingly endless creativity and diversity. Through his previous shows, the São Paulo-based artist was working with different mediums to blend his imagery with different familiar and mostly traditional objects. Rebuilding a traditional Brazilian Botecco bar or reusing children toys such as Pipas and Baloes, he always found a great way to apply his aesthetics with existing concepts. In his […]

For the upcoming Krasnoyarsk Museum Biennale in Russia, the Berlin-based EVOL has prepared a special installation featuring his signature reproduction of urban structures. Take a look at more photos of the installation piece below as well as an outdoor work also created for the event by the German street artist (with local skateboarder […]

Studio Visit: Pryce Lee – “Ceasefire” @ The Garage

During our recent travels abroad to catch the opening of Banksy’s Dismaland, we also made a few stops to see friends of ours across the pond. The exhibition entitled Ceasefire is a step up to another level for the bi-continental artist. Utilizing more than just his signature bullets, Pryce’s fresh works reaches into his arsenal for additional ammo to […]
