Sculptor Haroshi (featured), who is deeply embedded in skate culture, has designed the trophy for The Battle At The Berrics VII. A fitting collaboration as the unique aesthetic of the Japanese artist features recycled skateboards as his raw materials. If you remember, Haroshi also created the BATB 5 trophy featuring a middle finger salute. This time around he decide to go with a lower leg and foot. Running concurrently and staggered with the current G I R L exhibition at Galerie Perrotin in Paris starting Thursday night (June 12th) will be a new show from Daniel Arsham. Last weekend, Hashimoto Contemporary in San Francisco opened a new show from Scott Hove entitled Master of Rapacity. Featuring his signature faux cake sculptural works, the exhibition was thematically based on what one would see in the house of a corporate bigwig’s house. Hove states: “America is currently undergoing a very decisive and quiet transition to corporate oligarchy, the government becoming more and more acquiescent to corporate policy.
