Streets: Vhils (Shanghai)

As indicated in some teaser shots of Vhils’ street work when he first got to China as well as a preview video posted here, the Portuguese artist has been hard at work preparing for his showing at the 18 Gallery (presented by Magda Danysz) opening March 31st. Teaser: Vhils @ 18 Gallery (Shanghai)

It looks like Vhils (filmed) has been putting in work in Shanghai as he prepares for his show opening on March 31st at 18 Gallery (presented by Magda Danysz). Like JR before him, he’ll be introducing some of that European street aesthetic to the Chinese port city. Showing: Zhang Huan – “Q Confucius” @ Rockbund Museum

After a successful showing back in May at the prestigious Blum & Poe (covered), Zhang Huan has opened an exhibition in his home country at the Rockbund Museum in Shanghai. The versatile Chinese artist, who made his name with performance art, has focused on sculpture, like his show in Los Angeles, with this huge Confucius piece as the centerpiece.
