Introducing: NuArt Festival, Norway 2015

AM is excited to announce the first details of the 2015 NuArt Festival, one of the world’s leading celebration of street art. Showing: Hannah Stouffer & Hilary White – “Ingress/Egress” @ Paradigm Gallery + Studio

Currently at Paradigm Gallery + Studio in Philadelphia, Hannah Stouffer & Hilary White have a joint show on display entitled Ingress/Egress. Both artists’ work fit well together with Stouffer’s colorful geometrical and naturalistic compositions melding nicely with White’s more dimensional and vibrant abstractions. The exhibition runs through September 12th so stop by for a look yourself if you are in town.

Coming up on September 9th, the Newcomb Art Museum of Tulane will be hosting Shared Space : KAWS, Karl Wirsun, Tomoo Gokita. Openings: Nosego – “Along Infinite River” @ Thinkspace Gallery

A couple weekends ago, Along Infinite River opened at the Thinkspace Gallery in Los Angeles, a testament to the hard work and imagination of Yis Goodwin. Otherwise known as Nosego, especially for his work on the streets, the Philadelphia-base artist unveiled a collection of new vibrant paintings that put his surreal hybrids of different creatures and landscapes on display. Openings: Spazuk – “Smoking Guns and Feathers” @ Reed Projects

Currently at Reed Projects Gallery, a show entitled Smoking Guns and Feathers from Steven Spazuk is on display, highlighting his unique technique of “fumage.” The Canada-based artist was also on hand on opening night to show delighted fans his skills in person with the flame of a candle, creating imagery with marks of smoke and soot. Referenced in the title is his theme of environmental awareness and the effect of humans on our Earth’s ecosystem as well as a nod towards his way of mark-making. Discuss Spazuk here.

Showing through today, Shapeshifters & Sharpshooters (curated by Sven Davis) at the 886 Geary Gallery features work from an international cast of artists. Coming from a diverse background from traditional art school teaching practices to graffiti writing, the participants all take abstract art-making in their own unique direction.
