Just this Saturday night, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) returned to New York City to share a new exhibition at the Jonathan LeVine Gallery. Streets: Os Gemeos & Aryz (Poland)

Most fans of street art have be following the creation online of the Os Gemeos and Aryz collaboration mural in Poland over the last several weeks. We now have a look at the completed wall (painted for the Urban Forms Gallery event in Lodz) as well as some progress pics. Steve “ESPO” Powers’ (featured) recently opened a solo show in New York for the first time in seven years and it was a doozy. Openings: Tomokazu Matsuyama – “New Work” @ Mark Moore Gallery

Just this last weekend, the NY-based Tomokazu Matsuyama (interviewed) opened a new showing at the Mark Moore Gallery. Bringing with him several tondos as well as his irregularly shaped canvases, Matsu filled the project room with a juxtaposition of eastern and western imagery. Mixing things up, the new body of work also included two works on paper that he placed on a hand-painted wall as well as a re-cast of a 18th century erotic Chinese porcelain figure (customized for the Los Angeles area) that he encased in resin. Tomorrow night (September 8th) in San Francisco, Varnish Fine Art will be hosting For Smoke & Mirrors, the debut exhibition by Ransom & Mitchell. Openings: José & Rey Parlá – “U.T.O.P.I.A.” @ colette

Parisian house colette in France just opened the eagerly awaited new exhibition titled U.T.O.P.I.A. (previewed) featuring new collaborative works from the Parlá Brothers. The Brooklyn-based siblings placed a series of paintings on the walls featuring a melding of José’s urban calligraphy and Rey’s playful arrangement of colors and lines as evidence of their artistic dialogue.
