Phil Frost Custom T Rex

Recently, Phil Frost posted up images of a new piece he finished featuring his intricate typographical patterns painted over a T Rex figures. Transferring his technique of layering his signature iconography over found objects onto this large custom, the NY-based artist has created a unique take on the Tyrannosaurus rex, made popular in recent times from the Toy Story movies. After sharing one public arts project in New York from Yayoi Kusama with you earlier this week (here), we now turn our attention to the collaboration with Louis Vuitton on a fashion line entitled Infinitely Kusama. Over the weekend, the Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles welcomed local artist Nicola Verlato and his new paintings into their showspace with an opening reception. Damien Hirst Flag Part Of London Olympics Closing Ceremony

With the Olympics coming to an end, all of London celebrated with a star-studded and rousing closing ceremony featuring some of England’s greatest cultural exports. Damien Hirst was asked to design one of the many renditions of the Union Jack in his signature spin-painting looking motif which was unveiled as part of the event.
