Back in Danish capital after two years when he last exhibited his work alongside Todd James (covered), Barry Mcgee recently opened his debut solo with Eighteen gallery. Currently with Galerie Zink in Hamburg (Barlach Halle K), Javier Calleja has a show on view entitled Fake is the future. Including canvases, works on paper and mural paintings from the Spanish artist, the solo features cartoonish portraiture certainly inspired from his time working under the tutelage of Yoshitomo Nara.
