Streets: Vhils x Pixel Pancho (Lisbon)

With some recent articles, we have introduced to you several public murals arranged by the Underdogs platform in Lisbon as well as some gallery shows. We now have another street piece to share with you in the same vein – a collaboration between Vhils and Pixel Pancho. The joint wall saw the locally-based Vhils mix his chiseled technique with the Italian Pixel Pancho’s robotic imagery leading an interesting interaction of disparate styles. It’s time again for another Rewind feature here on AM. Leading things off is an amazing video, Limitless, shot and cut by Selina Miles featuring the art of Sofles, Fintan Magee, Treas, Quench. Releases: Mear One – “Transformanation” Print

Later today, at 11am PST, Static Medium will be releasing a new print from Los Angeles street legend Mear One (interviewed) entitled Transformation. Each print is embellished with hand painted details, sized at 18″x18″ image on 20″x22″ sheet, and cost $90.00 (postage $15 USA, $25 INT’L). It’s time for another roundup of street art around the world that we didn’t have a chance to cover in-depth. First up is a mural from Case in Erfurt, Germany for the OQ Paint project. Basel Week Miami ’13 / Previews: “Most Oddinism” @ The Rotunda

Another exhibition to visit while in town for Art Basel Week in Miami is Most Oddinism, a group exhibition exploring the work of eight artists that got their start in the streets. Running from December 4th to 8th, the show will include Aaron De La Cruz, Christopher Derek Bruno, Ben Eine, Kenji Hirata, Otto Zitko, Patrick Martinez, Steve Powers, and Roid (seen above). Basel Week Miami ’13 / Upcoming: colette x Alchemist “Art Drive-Thru”

If you are in town for Art Basel Week in Miami next week, you may want to stop by the pop-op shop created by French boutique store colette. Known for their previous collaborations with artists, they have teamed up with Alchemist to create a “Art Drive Thru” at 1111 Lincoln Road on the fifth floor of the Herzog & de Meuron garage (also site of the PISTON HEAD exhibition). Releases: Draw A Line Limited Editions

Several days ago, a new art editions online shop, Draw A Line, was launched from Berlin. The main goal of this project is to create and sell limited art edition prints in collaboration with international artists, but also, telling a story about the artists and their work. Two familiar names in street art, Shepard Fairey (featured) and D*Face (interviewed), united their efforts to paint two massive walls on the side of a building in Malaga, Spain recently. The seven story tall murals next to CAC Malaga were painted on an invite from Maus Málaga as well as from the museum and were representative of both the American and UK-based artist’s styles. After whole year filled with activities, mostly focused on producing new large size murals by some of the world’s top street and urban artists, Lisbon’s Underdogs platform is entering it’s final phase.
