Following the developments in an abandoned convent located about one hour outside of Barcelona, we recently decided to visit the ongoing Creença (Belief) art residency. Curated by Axel Void, through his new platform Void Projects, in close collaboration with the Konvent Zero art center, this unique project involved around 50 international artists who participated over the period of 2 months. Back in Danish capital after two years when he last exhibited his work alongside Todd James (covered), Barry Mcgee recently opened his debut solo with Eighteen gallery. Showing for the first time in this new Copenhagen space, the legendary artist constructed an immersive installation that took over the entire gallery, floor to ceiling, entrance door to emergency exit. Upfest returned to celebrate its 10th anniversary recently with approximately 350 artists from across the globe leaving their mark on the streets of Bristol. A central theme across the whole weekend was the 100 years which have passed since some women first got the right to vote in the UK. Over the weekend, Deluxe Fluxx opened in a new permanent home at The Belt in Detroit, a downtown alleyway with art curated by the Library Street Collective. The immersive art installation & arcade by Brooklyn-based artist duo Faile and artist Bast has traveled to multiple locations around the world, but will be putting down its roots in the Motor City as a bar and music venue. Streets: El Mac (US-Mexico border)

Commissioned by the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs (SRE), El Mac recently completed a mural at the US-Mexico border entitled Abuelita de Presidio (Desert Rose). The piece was painted on a ten-story high water tank in the remote border community of Presidio, Texas, facing its southern neighbor Ojinaga, Chihuahua. Visible from both countries, the portrait featuring his distinct style was based on a 62-year-old Presidio resident who runs a secondhand shop just a stone’s throw from the International Port of Entry who was originally from Mexico.
