Recently visiting New York City for the first time, Pejac took the opportunity to paint a couple murals that spoke to the city’s environmental impact, an issue that often plays a key role in his work. Following up on the introduction of his Postneocubism body of work in Paris last June (covered), Miguel Ángel Belinchón aka Belin recently opened his Asian debut show with Amanda Wei Gallery in Hong Kong. Fazes features a new series of canvases done in the Spanish artist’s signature style, along with new pieces introducing more drawing-based, abstract pieces. Releases: Nychos – “Translucent Hare” Print

It looks like Nychos just dropped a new print entitled Translucent Hare, which is appropriate at this time seeing as Easter is coming up. The 24 x 24 inch giclee print features one of the anatomic dissections the Austrian streets artist is known for. Starting a few days ago, passerbys of some of London’s ITV buildings were treated to an unsettling sight if their eyes lifted to the sky. Returning to work with Wunderkammern after a showing in their Rome location (covered) back in 2014, Aakash Nihalani (interviewed) is opening his latest solo tonight with the gallery’s space in Milan. After a successful opening (covered) in Tokyo at Perrotin last week, KAWS dropped the second verse of his tour of Asia with a showing at the gallery’s Hong Kong location. The pieces on display played out like part two of a cohesive body of work featuring abstract hints of the beloved cartoon and pop culture characters that the Brooklyn-based artist continues to be fascinated with. One of the highlights of Basel Week Hong Kong for local fans and out of town visiting collectors was a solo from Osgemeos at Lehmann Maupin. Releases: KAWS – “BFF (Pink)” Figure

Starting tomorrow at 10 am (EST), KAWS will be releasing the pink version of his BFF vinyl figure thru his website. Also available at that time will be the black colorway, and for those completists out there, the MoMA design store will have all three colors (blue, black, and pink) at their physical location as well as online starting tomorrow.
