Tomorrow night (November 2nd) in New York, there will be an art auction and benefit for the victims of Hurricane Maria (proceeds go to the Hispanic Federation’s disaster relief fund: Unidos). NY4PR (New York for Puerto Rico) will be held at Think!Chinatown x ChaShaMa space (384 Broadway) from 6-9pm and feature contributions from a wide range of artists (see list below). This Saturday (October 10th), Tim Barber will be opening a new solo at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery, his fourth showing with the Tokyo showspace. Blues is a new series of photographs taken by the New York-based artist on his iPhone and then printed using cyanotype technique in a hue referenced by the title of the show. At the end of last month, photographer Tim Barber returned to Japan for a third solo show (see 2011) at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery. Showing through the end of the month at M+B in Los Angeles is the Tim Barber curated Apparatus group exhibition. The New York – based photographer brought together an eclectic mix of artworks which all depict the human form in some way. A year ago this month, Tim Barber unveiled an expansive and inspired debut US solo exhibition at OHWOW in Miami. AM recently attended the annual RxArt benefit gala.
