Openings: Hush @ Onethirty3

Last week, the Onethirty3 installation space in Newcastle hosted its newest featured guest – Hush (interviewed). The UK-based artist presented his signature blend of anime influenced imagery with the raw energy of urban forms while creating an immersive transformation in the gallery confines. As with their other shows, limited editions in association with the installation was offered and subsequently sold out. Check out more pics from the opening after the jump…

Preview: Damien Hirst – “Legend” & “Myth” @ Chatsworth House

Currently on view at the Chatsworth House grounds in the UK through October 31st is the annual Sotheby’s Beyond Limits sculpture exhibition. Included in this year’s showing are two new works from Damien Hirst entitled Legend and Myth, which are his dissected portrayals of a winged horse and a unicorn. Teaser: Bast – “Scenario Del Rio” @ The Outsiders – Newcastle

As a regular collaborator with Faile (see Los Angeles, Brooklyn, Deluxx Fluxx Arcade), Brooklyn-based Bast hasn’t had many solo projects recently. All that will change next month as he will be unveiling a new solo exhibition in the UK at The Outsiders in Newcastle. The new body of work is entitled Scenario Del Rio and with the showcard sporting an intriguing image, we’ll be looking forward to seeing what he has planned for his fans. Discuss Bast here.

South Yorks represent! Kid Acne’s solo exhibition Kill Your Darlings launches this Friday 22nd July at Museums-Sheffield’s Millenium Gallery. Showing: Kai & Sunny – ‘The Flower Show’ @ Stolenspace
