Known of her undulating sculptural creations through the unconventional use of feathers, Kate MccGwire currently has some works on display at various locales. Some of her pieces are at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol alongside work from Peter Randall-Page (through September 10th) – you can read more about it here. As one of the collateral shows of the Venice Bienalle 2015, Personal Structures / Crossing Borders, organized by the European Cultural Centre, opened at two locations in Venice on the 9th of May. Hosted at Palazzo Bembo and Palazzo Mora, over 100 artworks created by 100 participating artists from around 50 different countries was presented to the general public. The city of bridges (Venice is located on 117 small connected islands), is currently hosting a very unique group exhibition titled Bridges of Graffiti. Organized as a collateral event of the 56th International Venice Biennale Arte, this show brings together a wide range of important names for the graffiti culture in Italy and worldwide. On 9th of May, another edition of the Venice Biennale will be open, staying on view all the way until the 22nd of November. The 56th International Art Exhibition is titled All the World’s Futures, and will feature 90 national participants exhibiting in the historical Pavilions at the Giardini, at the Arsenale, and in the city of Venice.
