Tate Modern continues its “Tateshots” series with a video tour of their “Pop Life” show (covered). Their selection for the guest tour guide is none other than Jonathan Yeo, whose controversial portraits and artwork often utilize pornographic imagery. Jonathan gives us his unique take on some of the “erotic” elements of “Pop Life” from Jeff Koons to Andy Warhol. Discuss this show here.

So… Pretty much all the speculations have been confirmed that Banksy indeed is premiering his documentary “Exit Through the Gift Shop” at the Sundance Film Festival. Glenn Barr’s show at The 4th Wall Gallery (previewed) opened last weekend in Dallas with a fantastic new body of work. Sprinkled among paintings of his signature vixens were serpent women, bird-girls and other hybrid creatures. To round out the show, he also had drawings, prints, and his “Happiness” bronze on display. Also exhibiting along with Barr were THH70 & Joey Seeman. Aakash Nihalani will be bringing his unique use of colored tape as a geometric artform to the Carmichael Gallery for a joint show with Mark Jenkins on January 21st. From the sound of things, attendees of the show, entitled “On & Off (Often On)”, will be seeing something fresh and exciting from Aakash for this new body of work. Ryan McGinley, famed photographer, but also aspiring feature film director, recently directed a video (watch it after the jump) for luxury knitwear brand Pringle of Scotland. So, the flag print and political statement from Saber we first told you about here is finally ready for release. “Flag 2010” will be a 11 color Serigraph on hand-made Nepalese Cannabina Fiber with all separations hand-painted in studio at Modern Multiples (who we visited in November) by Saber.
