Vivian Maier Documentary Opens in Los Angeles

Friday and Saturday night (March 28th & 29th), the LANDMARK in Los Angeles will be hosting the opening of Finding Vivian Maier. The documentary detailing the intriguing story of the discovery of the gifted photographer’s talent and work only after her death may be of interest to those who attended shows of her photos in 2013 & 2012 at the Merry Karnowsky Gallery. Over last weekend, the Merry Karnowsky gallery unveiled another exhibition of work from the late Vivian Maier after an initial showing almost a year ago (covered). Over the weekend, the Merry Karnowsky gallery unveiled to the public their latest exhibition, one which featured the incredible photography of the late Vivian Maier.  Titled Vivian Maier – A Life Discovered: Photographs from the Maloof Collection, the exhibit featured a variety of photographs ranging from the 50’s to the 70’s and although this collection is barely the tip of the surface in terms of quantity of her work, the quality is simply incredible.
