Last Saturday night, Soze Gallery in Los Angeles opened a group exhibition that highlighted the form of the Modernica chair, seen through the lens of each participant’s artistic vision. Friends and artists who show with the gallery, created custom one of a kind versions of the chair with their signature styles and techniques with part of the proceeds going to benefit The Art Of Elysium, a non-profit organization that brings empowering artistic programs to children in the local hospitals in the area. On November 8th, at 12 PM PST, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing her latest print thru her online store. The image chosen, entitled Manic, was one of the paintings from her recent show (covered) at Merry Karnowsky Gallery in Los Angeles. After several months of traveling and creating murals, ROA opened a new solo with Dorothy Circus Gallery on October 31st, introducing some fresh indoor works. Titled Suovetaurilia, the show is dedicated to Rome and its audience, as it refers to the ancient ritual animal sacrifice of a pig (sus), a sheep (ovis) and a bull (tauris) common at one time in the area. On Thursday, the 30th of October, Sainer and Bezt, teamed up as Etam Cru, opened their first Italian show at Varsi Gallery in Rome. It looks like Phlegm and Pixel Pancho recently collaborated on a pretty elaborate mural in New Zealand for the Dunedin Street Art Festival. Working around some architectural elements as well as some wall foliage, the signature characters from the UK-based Phlegm mixed well with the robotic tendencies of the Italy-based Pixel Pancho.
