We are really looking forward to Dutch artist Chris Beren’s show at Roq La Rue next month. Beren’s works look almost digital or like photography, but it is all hand-painted. The unique “look” to his paintings are result of his long painstaking process – taking many steps. Many of his characters appear to have a fuzzy, unfocused look to them like they were photos taken with a soft-focus lens on. Look for his new wonderfully imaginative body of work entitled “Go West” to begin showing on December 12th. In the meantime, check out a video interview after the jump.
