Although the new public library in West Hollywood isn’t set to open until the fall, the three large murals by Shepard Fairey, Kenny Scharf, and RETNA are now complete. Billed as an extension to MOCA’s Art in the Streets exhibition, the project (which we have been following) was apparently conceived by Jeffrey Deitch himself and will also include some additional indoor work from Fairey. The work however may not be permanent as the city has only committed to hosting the murals through July 2012.
