The Armory Art Show (here & here) may be the flagship event of Armory Week in New York, but the most prestigious title this year goes to another. The ADAA Art Show held at the Park Avenue Armory (covered) was a smaller, but more selective fair. Like a small jewelery box, this event drew some of the top galleries from around the nation. With only 72 booths, the fair offered an intimate viewing and a distinguished list of notables such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Wayne Thiebaud, Yoshitomo Nara, Gerald Richter, Richard Serra, it resembled more museum than fair.
