In anticipation of Beau Stanton’s (featured) solo exhibition at Corey Helford Gallery, we bring you look into his Redhook studios for a preview of the upcoming works. Entitled Cartography of the Machine, this show continues his journey of melding old world craftsmanship with his knowledge of architecture, letterpress graphics and antique curiosities. His attention to detail and use of colors brings to life compositions that touch on the 19th century and the intense acidic colors of the 60s & 70s. In this preview, we’re excited to […]

Openings: COOP – “Idle Hands” @ Corey Helford Gallery

Friday evening, AM decided to duck the over-hyped oncoming threats of Los Angeles’ “Carmageddon” to check out the opening of legendary pop artist COOP’s show Idle Hands at Corey Helford Gallery. This is his first solo show since 2009, and once again he brought a series of ambitious large scale paintings as well as a few preliminary sketches and his signature ink drawings. He states regarding his current show – “pulp magazines, more overt sexuality and a little more deliberate provocation are on this time around.” COOP has […]

Last Saturday, AM attended the opening of Blurring the Lines at Corey Helford Gallery, which features new work by these East and West Coast graffiti masters. This exhibition marks a moment […]
