Previews: “Suggestivism : Resonance” @ Spoke Art

This Thursday, the first of September, Spoke Art in San Francisco will be hosting the newest iteration of the Suggestivism exhibitions curated by Nathan Spoor. Like previous editions in Orange County (2011) and Rome (2013) and Los Angeles (2014), a impressive roster of artists has been put together for this group show. Releases: Dan May – “Road Trippin'” Print

On May 12th, this Thursday (12pm EST), Dan May (interviewed) will be releasing a new print entitled Road Trippin’ featuring some of his signature hairy critters going for a ride. Originally part of his Gentle Creatures print subscription but a few will be made available in his online shop. Produced in an edition of 50, and measuring  14″ X 11″, you can purchase one to add to your collection for $65 if so desired. Discuss Dan May here.

Dan May – “Daily Creature Project”

The Daily Creature Project is a continuing series of studies that Dan May (interviewed) has been creating every day. Each one features one of the surreal, hairy subjects that the northern Michigan-based artist has been known to paint. The limited editions are priced affordably, but for those interested, you can also email him – danmayinfo (at) – about buying the original paintings that the images are taken from.
