Art and music have long enjoyed a reciprocal relationship. Take the album cover for example. For years, musicians have found or commissioned visual artists to portray an aesthetic that resonates with the contents of the sleeve resulting in a complete aural and visual package. Gamma Proforma’s forthcoming exhibition and project Rewire flip reverses this process with a collection of artworks produced by visual artists forming the inspiration for a series of sonic interpretations of the artworks by musicians. A perfect fit for Gamma Proforma who […]

This time around, participating artists were again asked to contribute artwork in a 10 x 10″ format. Along with pieces from over 100 artists (list seen below), Adam Friedman and Robert Minervini also created a site-specific installation featuring a series of paintings interspersed throughout mural elements. Roster: 2501, Adam Friedman, Adam Weir, Akiko Masker, Alex Lukas, Alicia Dubnyckyj, […]
International art collective Agents of Change recently opened a group showing at David Bloch Gallery in Marrakech. Entitled Unfolding, the showing brought together Steve More, Derm, Carlos Mare, LX One, Remi Rough and Jaybo. The AoC cast is ever expanding and contains different styles of art brought in by the widely cast influences of the collective group. Unfolding focuses of just six of the whole twelve, and hones down on some of the more angular, geometrically inspired members of the collective. Painting, collage and sculpture combine within […]
Breeze Block Gallery opened their huge group show Wider than a postcard (previewed) alongside the first solo show in their new gallery 2 space – olive47’s bonita bonita (featured) a couple of weeks back to a packed Portland crowd. Over 400 individual works went into the postcard show with 200 artists providing postcard sized works. The work was hung on the walls in grids of 24 cards, each echoing the aspect ratio of the individual works themselves as each work was 6×4 inches. The variance of work encompassed photography […]

With over 200 artists and 400 individual works, this exhibition looks to be both bigger than the previous event and also smaller at the same time as all of the artworks are postcard sized at 6×4 inches. Each artist is either making work on a found / owned postcard and adapting / adding […]

Remember the huge wall installation that Agents of Change put together in Manchester last month? Well, the interesting trailer that AoC put together directly after the painting event, which they coincidentally live streamed via their website, has now been turned into a finished film. Each of the Agents – LXOne, Derm, Remi/Rough, System, Juice 126, Steve More and Timid took a section of the mural and incorporated their own individual stylings into the larger composition, created as part of the Future Everything Festival.
It seems that Agents of Change have gone large again as part of the “Future Everything” Festival. If you didn’t catch the live stream of the AoC’s latest project up in Manchester over the last few days, check out this trailer video produced by the collective documenting some of the installation. A full film is currently under production and should be released in the next few days. Time to get busy Timid! Check out some further pictures from Remi/Rough after the jump.
Agents of Change are getting their game on this weekend in the next chapter of the collective’s collaborative efforts. Derm, Juice 126, LX One, Remi/Rough, Stormie, Steve More, System and Timid are together in Manchester over the next few days installing and live painting at the Future Everything festival.
