To kick off the launch of his Listen and Learn app, Jeremy Fish (featured) has illustrated (in black Sharpie) on the back of a brand new iPad 2, which is being given away on Upper Playground’s Facebook Page. Over the weekend, AM stopped by Mark Moore Gallery in Los Angeles to take a look at Jeremy Fish (featured) part in Rise of the Underground. Exhibiting alongside Kenichi Yokono, the standout pieces from the bearded one were his exquisite and imaginative woodcuts, an extension of the work we saw in NY in July. At the end of the month in Los Angeles, the Mark Moore Gallery will play host to two artists whose work at first glance have nothing much in common, but when you consider their use of woodworking and the surreal imagery, you begin to see the reason for the pairing. Cover artist Jeremy Fish (featured), who back in July had an impressive exhibition with Joshua Liner Gallery in NYC, has devised a fun publicity campaign for the October Juxtapoz issue. Openings: Square Enix – “Deux Ex: Human Revolution” @ Wooster St. Social Club

Square Enix and the Wooster Street Social Club presented a mini charity exhibition recently centered around the video game Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Artists such as Estevan Oriol, Sam Flores, Patrick Martinez and Jeremy Fish created game themed posters for the event, each with a small edition of 20 with proceeds benefiting art education. We all hit bumps in the road, but with a little help we can all overcome any obstacles. As mentioned previously, a good friend of AM and assistant director of Joshua Liner Gallery, Tim Strazza, was unfortunately diagnosed with a Multiple Sclerosis. We helped sponsor a fundraiser created by the gallery to generate funds that went to support Tim and his medical bills. This Thursday, a very special art fundraiser will be held at Joshua Liner Gallery for our friend Tim Strazza who was unfortunately diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. We are helping to sponsor a benefit event where all proceeds will go to his medical bills. A couple weeks ago, AM caught the opening of Jeremy Fish’s (featured) exhibition at the Joshua Liner Gallery. The show Listen and Learn showcased not only the bold and complex characters that make up Jeremy’s cartoon-like style, but also the stories of multiple angles told from the viewpoints of different people from all walks of life.
