A few months after taking part in POW WOW Hawaii (covered) and putting on a solo show during Armory week in NYC (covered), Know Hope has finished another interesting project during his residency at Mission To Art in Turn, Italy. Openings: “Space//Squared” @ White Walls Gallery

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered). American-born and Tel Aviv-based artist, Know Hope, is one of the artists taking part in this year’s Pow! Wow! Hawaii event in Honolulu. Although he originally planned on working on several smaller, hidden pieces in the alleys of the Kaka’ako area, the artist just finished this large mural on a side wall of a local carshop. Lazarides and The Vinyl Factory, joined their forces to bring an exceptional group show to art lovers at the peak of London art week. Openings: Know Hope – “The Abstract And The Very Real” @ Lazarides Rathbone

Last night, Lazarides Rathbone in London opened their doors to the new solo show from Know Hope. The Abstract And The Very Real consisted of clusters of paintings and assemblages, often utilizing found objects, that collectively put forth the Tel Aviv-based artist’s ode to the human spirit, manifested in his signature characters, imagery, and motifs. Openings: “Wider than a postcard” & olive47 – “bonita bonita” @ Breeze Block Gallery

Breeze Block Gallery opened their huge group show Wider than a postcard (previewed) alongside the first solo show in their new gallery 2 space – olive47’s bonita bonita (featured) a couple of weeks back to a packed Portland crowd. Over 400 individual works went into the postcard show with 200 artists providing postcard sized works. The work was hung on the walls in grids of 24 cards, each echoing the aspect ratio of the individual works themselves as each work was 6×4 inches. The variance of work encompassed photography […]
