Earlier this month, the Roq La Rue hosted the third rendition of the Lush Life group show. As usual, a impressive lineup of artists (many who have showed with or will show in the future with the Seattle gallery) joined in on the fun including Femke Hiemstra, Chris Berens, Josh Keyes, John Brophy, Travis Louie, Marco Mazzoni, Jessica Joslin, Joseph Park, Mia Araujo, and more. Tonight (November 10th) in Copenhagen, Marco Mazzoni will be introducing a whole new body of work entitled Xtsy at Gallery B15. Showing his proficiency with colored pencils, the Italian artist has continued to explore his form of faceless portraiture with a series of vibrant works that feature a melding of human and natural world. The last time we featured Marco Mazzoni, he was getting ready for his show in his home city of Milan at the Arsprima Gallery. Fans of the Italian painter will be happy to hear that his next solo is coming up in a couple months, this time in Copenhagen at Gallery B15. Included in the new body of work entitled XTSY will be some his nature-infused portraiture as well as some paintings that take a new direction. A couple more images after the jump…
