Following the theme of this year’s Expo15 in Milan, which is “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life,” Wunderkammern Gallery organized a collateral art project titled Chained. The idea behind this group exhibition is to investigate the dynamics between humans and nature through the works of art contributed by artists in this show. Entering the final week, the hangar of the Municipality of Milan on Via Amari is currently hosting works by 2501, Atomo, Borondo, BR1, C215, Max Rippo, Sam3, Sten Lex and Edoardo Tresoldi. This week’s edition of Streets: World Roundup brings us new street and public artworks from all over the globe. From a miniature piece (pictured) by Pablo Delgado (photo by Marcus Peel), a London-based Mexican street artist who has been creating some new small works around British capital as an introduction for his upcoming solo show, to an enormous giant piece by Ella & Pitr in Santiago, Chile. From the deserts of West Australia, all the way to The Netherlands, Croatia, Italy, Spain, France, and couple of cities around […]
Spanish artist Sam3 recently visited Barcelona where he created a new beautiful mural titled Park. Rendered with his familiar technique of using only black color and painting silhouettes, this public piece feels both very light and strong, fitting perfectly to the environment it is placed in. The piece shows four trees whose treetops form heads which communicated with each other with birds flying from one tree to the other. With a closer look, one notices that the leaves of the treetops are actually little birds […]

After hitting up the Mediterranean coastline with some inventive murals, Spanish artist Sam3 headed to Denmark to participate in a new event. Located in the old Danish city of Horsens, the project Public Art saw the silhouette master get up twice at the port and once in the center of the town. Other artists scheduled to attend include Brad Downey, Escif, Pobel, Thomas Dambo, and Ornduvald so we’ll bring you more photos soon… Photo credit: Henrik Haven. Discuss Sam3 here.
Sam3 has been busy recently along the Mediterranean coastline of Spain in Costa Blanca working on some murals featuring his signature shadow figures. Along with the stunning piece with political commentary that refers to expulsion of the Moors in the Ricote Valley in the sixteenth century, painted on a rock face (seen above), there was also the silhouette of a man in a boat with pretty sweet placement taking advantage of the natural elements of the wall (seen below).
