If you’re in or around Edinburgh, get ready for a treat as Gamma Proforma’s new gallery space Gamma Transport Division opens this Friday with their inaugural exhibition featuring pioneering British graffiti artist SheOne. [S1] features a series of brand new works from the Transcend / Wizard Kings writer, also known under his real name of James Choules. Following directly on from Part 1 of our coverage of the busy Space//Form opening, AM now delves a little deeper pictorially into the artwork created for this huge group exhibition of 110 artists with a series of pictures where the art is more viewable (like the Mark Dean Veca installation above). As the opening of the Space//Form group exhibition draws ever nearer, and following on from our studio view, AM brings you a glimpse of some of the work in this huge show. One of the most interesting things about curating a group exhibition of over 100 artists is getting to see behind the scenes as the artists develop their work for the show (Chloe Early seen above). Following our recently curated group exhibitions in Hong Kong; East West Connect and Los Angeles; City of Fire, AM’s UK correspondent Sven Davis has branched out with his own curatorial endeavour Space//Form. The group exhibition brings together over 100 young contemporary artists, and opens 6th September at Portland’s Breeze Block Gallery. Streets: SHEONE – Zion Street Project (Africa)

SHEONE has been a busy little bee since his Paris collabo with Nick Walker. Traveling down to West Africa, the legendary writer worked on the ZION STREET PROJECT created by Wide Open Walls. SHEONE hit up 14 different villages in Gambia and beautified the structures that housed the residents living in the Ballabu Conservation Area. We look forward to seeing more as this project’s momentum continues to grow. Until then, check out the beautiful abstractions in the wild after the jump. Photography by Larry Makasutu.

Streets: Nick Walker (Paris) Part II

After hitting up Paris with some street work (covered) back in February, Nick Walker (interviewed) has return for more. One of the walls (seen above) he painted was a mirror image of the piece he submitted for the Fifty Fifty group show that opened last week at Parisian showspace Mathgoth Galerie. Take a look at another piece from the Bristol-based artist after the jump… As a bonus, we added another collaborative piece he painted with SheOne from his last trip there as well.

During Armory Week, there were a few things that caught our attention. One of the highlights of the Bridge Art Fair was British gallery Opus Art who traveled from the UK to show New York just what they have to offer.
