While Ohio State and Oregon were battling it out for the College Football Playoff National Championship, of which the Buckeyes eventually emerged victorious, Madsteez was already underway painting a mural dedicated to the contest at 3015 at Trinity Groves in Dallas. The California-based artist let the online community decide how the mural unfolded as he took suggestions throughout the creation process. New York-based french artist WK Interact recently collaborated on a project with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets and Citibank. Utilizing his signature motion motif, WK takes the star players from the team and reinterprets their competitiveness for their fans in the Big Apple. New York graffiti legend Futura recently teamed up with Sprite to create three custom basketballs for the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend. Two of them feature his iconic atomic imagery and pointman characters, and the last is inspired by LeBron James. Each one will be auctioned off after the All-Star weekend, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of America.
