KAWS x Nike: New York Made // Stanton Street Courts

Os Gemeos Designs Felipe Massa Helmet

For this year’s Monoco GP, Os Gemeos have designed a special helmet for fellow countryman and Formula One driver Felipe Massa. KAWS Designs Trophy For SpongeBob SquarePants 400 Nascar Race

Continuing to raise his profile and to familiarize the general public with his signature imagery, KAWS has teamed up with NASCAR to design the trophy for the SpongeBob SquarePants 400 coming up at the Kansas Speedway on May 9th (although it might be delayed due to the weather). Streets: Madsteez x Nike For College Football Playoff National Championship

While Ohio State and Oregon were battling it out for the College Football Playoff National Championship, of which the Buckeyes eventually emerged victorious, Madsteez was already underway painting a mural dedicated to the contest at 3015 at Trinity Groves in Dallas. The California-based artist let the online community decide how the mural unfolded as he took suggestions throughout the creation process. New York-based french artist WK Interact recently collaborated on a project with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets and Citibank. Utilizing his signature motion motif, WK takes the star players from the team and reinterprets their competitiveness for their fans in the Big Apple. Futura x Sprite for NBA All Star Weekend

New York graffiti legend Futura recently teamed up with Sprite to create three custom basketballs for the upcoming NBA All-Star Weekend. Two of them feature his iconic atomic imagery and pointman characters, and the last is inspired by LeBron James. Each one will be auctioned off after the All-Star weekend, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club of America. Upcoming: Tim Biskup – “Kobe Prelude Experience” @ Nike Vault

Last month, we covered the start of The Kobe Prelude Experience put on by the Nike Vault at the STAPLES Center. Since those first pieces were revealed by Allison Torneros & Kris Kuksi, other artists have created work inspired by key moments in Kobe Bryant’s career.
