Brazilian artist Herbert Baglione opened his latest solo show, “The Dark Wave” last night at San Francisco’s FIFTY24SF gallery. Though the artist was unable to attend, due to passport restrictions, Baglione certainly came correct with an overwhelming selection of original sketches (close to 300!) and nine medium to large sized paintings. The sketches, which are cash-and-carry till Christmas, have been taken out of Herbert’s personal sketchbooks and provide an insightful look at the processes and growth of this important Brazilian artist.
