It’s that time of year again, when the Whitney makes an important announcement regarding the Whitney Biennial.  Last year at the exact same time, it announced the curatorial team for its 2010 Biennial.  Today, the much-anticipated list of artists, which includes Robert Williams, Aurel Schmidt, and Tauba Auerbach, was announced.  Curators Francesco Bonami and Gary Carrion-Murayari chose a diverse range of artists who work across all different kinds of media and subject matter.  Eleven artists make their return from previous Biennials.  In what could further the male vs. female equality of artists debate, half of the artists are women.  The event runs February 25 through May 30 at the Whitney Museum.
