How many more books do you want me to sign!?
Based on the successful turnouts at both the London’s Phillips de Pury and New York’s Deitch Projects release parties the past few weeks, it’s safe to say that Gestalten’s “Beyond the Street: The 100 Leading Figures in Urban Art” by Patrick Nguyen and Stuart Mackenzie was very well received. Now we’re sure some of those that have picked up the book may have wondered why a few urban art cornerstone’s were not included? But after talking with one of the book’s Authors, some obvious artists (Ahem… Banksy, Barry McGee, and a few others we’re not a liberty to disclose) may have not made the list simply due to their hectic schedule preventing a “timely” acceptance of their formal invitation. So we beg the question… IF an update was to be made to this list, who do you feel should be part of this comprehensive Ver 2.0? Continue after the jump.
