Heads up for a great giveaway that D*Face has given to readers of Arrested Motion.
You saw the flicks we got of D putting together this stenciled skate ramp recently, and then we got first sight of the new uber-limited skate decks at the recent StolenSpace Summer Group Show… This set of three screen-printed skate decks has been produced by Real Skateboards in conjunction with D*Face in a limited edition of just 10 sets. A less limited full color set has also been produced, which you can find in skate shops.
We hear that just five of the two color screen-printed sets were made available for purchase and D has given AM a set to give away. The set retails for £750, so we’re talking a pretty big prize here. Usually we keep our giveaways pretty simple, but with this one, we’re gonna make you work a little and get creative.

We’re glad to present the D*Face x Arrested Motion *Face Painting Contest!
It’s easy to submit an entry. We’re looking for your *Face painting design – it can be either in the style of D*Face’s work or something completely your own idea and design.
There are various ways to enter, so pick from one of the options below.
1) Paint your *Face – Submit a photograph of your design painted either directly on yours or someone else’s *Face.
2) Get drawing – Submit a hand-drawn or painted design for your *Face painting (Jpg file – not actual artwork).
3) Get digital – Submit a digital design for your *Face painting (Jpg file).
All entries to be submitted via email to [email protected] along with the name and age of the entrant. Make sure you mark the subject field of the email with ‘AM Painting Contest’, so that we can easily identify it. Multiple entries are ok, but they must be sufficiently different to be considered individually. Submit a separate email entry for each design.
All entries are to be submitted by 11pm UK time Wednesday 18th August 2010.
There are three prizes – the winner will receive the set of three skate decks. Two runners-up will each receive a D*Face T-Shirt (see here for details) in the design and size of their choice.
The contest will be judged by Arrested Motion and D*Face. We’ll publish the winners and a selection of other entries here on Arrested Motion. The images may appear elsewhere on the internet too. All decisions are final. The only other rule is that if you win the prize, you keep it for your enjoyment as the gift that it is – we don’t want to see the prize on eBay!
Good luck to all that enter – have fun with your design – we will be judging each entry on creative concept as well as technical merit to make this contest fair for all ages and abilities to enter. Adult and child entries are equally welcome.
