Check out a preview of Christina Empedocles’ latest body of work, titled “As Evidenced”, to premiere this Friday at Denver’s David B. Smith Gallery. The charming works by Empedocles lures you in with a 3D feel created by her technique of rendering everyday objects on paper. Utilizing subjects such as birds, animals, people, and even personal memorabilia set on simple plain paper, she masterfully constructs a nostalgic presence and a unique visual texture that is almost hyper-realistic to the viewer. The show opens this Friday at 7pm.
