This weekend will see the premiere of this year’s “Works & Process” at the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. The annual project brings together a creative mixture of the visual and performing arts for a limited series of performances. This year’s feature will be Sergei Prokofiev’s children’s classic Peter & The Wolf.
The collaboration will bring together NYC Opera’s musical director George Manahan to conduct the Juilliard Ensemble, while fashion designer Isaac Mizrahi will narrate the tale. The artistic character and set installation will be created by Kaikai Kiki artist Rei Sato whose fresh yet earnest style often captures the energy and spirit of youth. With a unique ensemble of talent coming together to put together this production, we’re sure it’ll be a holiday treat to experience in person. Make plans to attend as it runs briefly from Dec 11th until Dec 19th (Some shows already sold out). Get your tickets here.
More after the jump.
