AM caught up with French-born, Brooklyn-based artist Supakitch at his studio and got a sneak peek of a large new body of work slated for his solo show entitled I Was Born to Be Different, opening in mid-December at Galerie Elegance in Taiwan. Supa is an artistic jack of all trades—painter, print-maker, fashion-designer and tattoo artist. He easily switches between mediums, and even more impressive, mixes them with his love of DJ/hip-hop music and Japanese manga & anime, into his own coherent and unique aesthetic, which is fun, modern and ultra-hip.
