Opening along with George Thompson’s Revisionist History at Known Gallery was a exhibition of new works by David Choe (featured) [edit: according to David Choe’s blog, these are collaborative pieces with George Thompson]. The artist took a break from his figurative images of city dwelling ladies and angry red colors to explore a different painterly direction (although if you look hard enough, you might be able to make out some tits, cocks, and assholes in some of the works). Consisting of large works in black and white, the show proved that the diverse artist could paint abstract pieces while making them in his own unique identifiable style.
