While in town for his recent London show, LUDO (interviewed) spent some time outside of the gallery in the urban environment where he feels most comfortable. His large-scale, hand-drawn wheatpastes infiltrated walls, billboards, and shutterfronts citywide. As with his recent stateside street tour, the green-tinged pieces seem to blend seamlessly into the already derelict city landscape, as if providing a snapshot of the future evolution of these plants and insects as they mutate and arm themselves to fight back against the species that has senselessly brought many to the brink of extinction. For those in London, keep an eye out for the green goo. A LUDO piece might not be far off.
